Hard to believe that I’ve been married for over 22 years! Pretty cool though especially when you keep hearing statistics on how over half of the marriages are ending in divorce nowadays. My favorite anniversary celebration was our 20th when we went to New York City together. We are best friends and there isn’t anyone I’d rather spend time with than my wife. What a blessing she is to me and so many others.

That’s very encouraging, 22 years! WOW! YAY! Laugh We’re about to celebrate our 5th anniversary and we’re planning to have a night to ourselves. We’re going to get couples massages and spend the night at a hotel. My mother-in-law is going to come visit to watch the kids for us, since we have two very small ones. I’m very excited to be celebrating 5 years with my wonderful hubby!

Today on St. Patrick’s Day, we are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.

Right now the best encouragement, or advice, I could give a newly married couple is to keep God the very center of your marriage. That is a given. When rough patches come along, and they very well may, you can both get through it if God is your foundation. God’s word gives you direction.

Also, be forgiving of one another. There will be many times when you’ll need to forgive. There will be many times we you’ll seek forgiveness. Your marriage is worth much more than you think during any times of possible hardship.

Never forget the promise you made before God when you were married. God will not forget; it means so much to Him. Smile

Hey admin, would you prefer my post to be a new thread? Can you make it a new thread?

Whether you want to do it as a new thread or not it doesn’t matter to me. As long as we get these celebratory words out! Its encouraging for so many to hear!
