Marriage by Design
Mike,
I cannot thank you enough for inviting Karen and I to participate in the Marriage by Design course we just finished. I have been to 2 or 3 marriage seminars about 12 hours each but they missed the mark. But MbD nailed it. It really focused on the incredible truth of Ephesians 5 as it explains what the relationship between husband and wife should be. In those few 6 weekly meetings, totaling 12 hours, I learned more about God’s design for marriage than all the other seminars put together.
Recognizing my God-charged role as husband was made clear and I cannot tell you the huge difference it has already made in my relationship with Karen. I have a new and greater appreciation for her as a woman, wife, and mother. It is so easy to take things for granted but now my appreciation for her is rekindled and has found new and expanded life.
I have also seen a new vibrancy in Karen as she finds a new appreciation for her own role. That means more to me than anything. Our love for each other has a greater strength because of our better understanding of Scripture as it relates to marriage.
I strongly recommend this course not just to married couple regardless of how long they have been married, but also…maybe especially…to soon-to-be married couples. MbD would give a tremendous spiritual foundation for their marriage.
